Are dogs housed together at night?
We do not allow kennel sharing – our motto is a safe dog is a happy dog and sharing a kennel with an unfamiliar dog is not safe.
When we take your booking, you buy that space for your entire holiday and the only time we will share is if there are multiple pets coming in from the same house.
Where are the dogs kept during the day?
During the day your pet will be located in one of our many purpose built yards – this is the space where they have the opportunity to meet and play with new friends as well as interact with one of our staff members. The time spent outside is dependent on the change of weather.
Does my dog need to be vaccinated?
Yes, we do need to see up to date vaccinations, either C5 or C7.
Where will my dog sleep?
Your pet will sleep in purpose built kennels, that are twice the recommended area outlined by RSPCA, in order to increase the comfort during their stay.
The kennels are located within a kennel block – that way they are not exposed to the elements during the night time especially if it rains, hail or there is lightning.
When will my pet be fed?
Part of the agreement to stay with us is we provide food once a day in the form of dry kibble – we have the option to feed twice a day at a small fee, as well as a selection of meat supplied by the local pet store.
Can I bring my own food?
You most certainly can! Whatever you think will make your pet’s stay more comfortable. We do advise if your pet is a picky eater that you do bring their own food, that way they have something familiar.
Can I bring my pet's favourite toy and their bedding?
You are more than welcome to bring their personal items. We do our best to ensure their items are returned in the same conditions, however we can’t predict certain things so please no valuable items.
What happens if my dog isn’t friendly?
There is more one on one time with our carers, however the price is subject to change.
Can I inspect the property?
Yes! Please contact us to organise an appointment to inspect Canine Boarding Lodge, and make sure it’s the right fit for your dog.
What times are you open?
We are open from 9-11am and 4-6pm. If you need to organise a dropoff or pickup time outside these hours, please contact us.
The office is closed over Easter, Anzac Day, Remembrance Day, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Years Eve.
Our office is also closed in the afternoon on 7th January, and 11th of February.
